Alexander Visnyai Jr.

Alexander Visnyai, Jr., 87 of Elyria, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025. He was an Air Force veteran serving from 1960-1964 and was a member of VFW Post 1079 in Elyria. Alexander retired in 2004 as an air traffic controller and then went into business for himself as a painter, wallpaper hanger, and skilled craftsman. He was never short of work even though he never advertised – he constantly had more and more referrals. Alexander loved passing on wisdom especially to his children and grandchildren. He was a totally dedicated and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Alexander is survived by his loving wife of more than 58 years, JoAnne (nee Nagy); children, Alan (Rebecca) and Lisa L. Visnyai; and grandsons, Noah, Michael, and Gregory Visnyai.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander, Sr. and Helen; and siblings, Elizabeth Achenbach and Frank Visnyai.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 25 at the Reichlin Roberts Bollinger Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland St., Elyria from 10am until the funeral service at 11am with Rev. Alex VanCuren officiating.
