Bridgette Rose Ross, loving Mother and Nana, passed away peacefully in her home on April 1st, 2023 at the age of 80. She was born in Lorain, OH in 1942 and was a graduate of Lorain High School, Class B, in 1960. She married her husband, George, on December 1st , 1962. They had 4 beautiful children together; Gina, George, Louisa and Angela. She and George adopted their granddaughter, Connie, giving them five children together.
Bridgette loved her family most and being a mother & Nana to her children and their friends. She was an avid bowler and was a sister in the Beta Sigma Pi Sorority. Bridgette loved to dance and enjoyed playing cards. She loved playing pranks and tricks on her family and friends as well, and was good at it. Her smile lit up a room, and her laugh was contagious.
Bridgette loved to entertain and was an incredible cook. She was known for her homemade spaghetti sauce and meatballs. She enjoyed reading books, but what she found the most joy in was her family. She was so proud of her grandchildren; Santino, Dakota, Sierra, Niko, and Roman; and great granddaughter, Rowen.
Bridgette is survived by her children, Gina Johns (Ross), George Rossi and his wife Barb, Louisa Ross, Angela Carter (Ross) and her husband Tony, Connie Linkous (Ross) and her husband Ron; five grandchildren, one great grandchild; her brother, Vincent Staszak; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Bridgette is preceded in death by her husband, George Ross; mother, Tillie Staszak (Trubiano); step-father, Frank Staszak; and son-in-law, Randy Johns.
The family will receive friends on Friday April 14th, 2023 from 3:00 pm - 6:30 pm at Reichlin Roberts Bollinger Funeral Home, with the service beginning at 6:30 pm. If desired, please send pink carnations to the funeral home, per Bridgette’s request. Friends are asked to wear purple since it was Bridgette’s favorite color.
A private Funeral Service will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Elyria for Immediate Family.
