Dennis R Parsons

Dennis R. Parsons, a beloved Husband, Father, Papa, and Uncle, passed away peacefully on June 17th, 2024 at Mercy New Life Hospice in Lorain, Ohio at the age of 69.

Dennis was born on October 23rd, 1954 in Harlan, Kentucky. He resided in Elyria for the last 24 years.

Surviving him are his wife, Karen Parsons (nee Gardinsky), two daughters, Jessica Sanders of Tennessee, and Nicole Justice (Devin) of Sheffield, Ohio. Four grandchildren, Tara, Noah, Savannah, and Dawson who were his pride and joy. His sister-in-law, Jean O’Donnell (nee Gardinsky) and his brother-in-law, David Gardinsky (Maryann). His mother, Thelma Audrey Parsons (nee Wallace) of Tennessee and sister Melinda Nunley (Michael) of Kentucky, and his Aunt Iris Lankford of Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Homer Parsons, brother Jim Parsons, brother-in-law Brian O’Donnell, and sister-in-law, Cathleen Blair.

Dennis was a man of unwavering strength, compassion, and faith. He enjoyed being with family and loved to fish and be outdoors. He read his bible faithfully and retained the scriptures to give testimony to others.

Dennis will be deeply missed by his devoted wife, Karen, whom he cherished for over two decades as his soulmate and confidante. Together they built a life filled with love and laughter that will forever remain in our hearts.

A graveside service will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Elyria, Ohio on June 29th, 2024 at 11:00.
