John S Ramsey

John S. Ramsey, 70 of Elyria, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. He had been retired from BASF for about five years. John liked to ride his bicycle and loved riding motorcycles. He was a Jack of all trades, master of none. John enjoyed vacationing, but spending time with his family was his greatest joy. He always made sure they were taken care of, and will be greatly missed by them.

John is survived by his daughters, Heather Ramsey and Kera Ramsey (Andrew Mencke); grandchildren, April Ramsey, Mason Mencke, and Austin Ramsey; great granddaughter, Renesmee Mencke; and sisters, Sue Downey (Al), and Julia Rorick (Scott).

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Earnestine; parents, John and Thelma Ramsey; and daughter, Tonya Ramsey.

The family will receive friends at the Reichlin Roberts Bollinger Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland St., Elyria on Tuesday, March 11 from 11:00 am until the funeral service at 1:00 pm. Burial at Brookdale Cemetery will follow.
