Lillian A Grimes

Lillian Brezinski Grimes, born December 9th, 1923, passed away peacefully at the age of 100 on April 7th, 2024. Lillian was born in Lorain and moved to Elyria in 1951, where she lived the rest of her life. She was a 70+ year member of St. Jude’s Church. After her children were off to school, Lillian made lifelong friends with Marge, Gary and Marlene, working at the dry cleaners. She cherished her Sunday calls to her sister-in-law Helen Grimes Hayest (deceased), She enjoyed the last 20 years of her life at Abbewood Senior Living of Elyria.

Lillian is survived by her children, Richard (Denise, deceased), Sandra, David (Stannie); 4 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and her sister Florence (Bob) Jaworski.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Lottie Brezinski; husband, Robert Richard Grimes in 1999; son, James in 1994; brothers, John and Tony Brezinski; and sisters, Harriet Brezinski DHM, Theresa Frances, and Joan Jurbala.

The family will receive friends at the Reichlin Roberts Bollinger Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland St., Elyria on Friday, April 26 from 10:00 - 11:00 am, with the memorial service beginning at 11:00 am. Inurnment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
