Mary Ann Laborie

Mary Ann Laborie, 91 of Elyria, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, November 29, 2023. She was born in Elyria and lived there all her life. She graduated from Elyria High School in 1950 and was in the first nursing class at Lorain County Community College. She was an LPN and worked at Lorain Community Hospital, retiring in 1988. Mary Ann was a Cleveland sports fan and loved reading, baking, and especially spending time with her family. She was also a member of the Altar and Rosary Society at St. Agnes Church.

Mary Ann is survived by her loving children, Michele Hunt (John) of Lorain, Jayne Poff (Steven) of Elyria, and Greg Laborie (Sheree) of North Ridgeville; granddaughter, Jennifer Hunt; and great granddaughter ,Livia Goforth.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert; parents, Thomas and Julia Zgoda; a brother, Chester Zgoda; and sisters, Antoinette Kasper and Leona Rozanc.
