Mildred E Coburn

Mildred Esther Coburn, 104, resident of The Abbewood of Elyria, Ohio, passed away on August 1, 2024 due to natural causes. Millie was born on June 3, 1920, in Pennsylvania to her parents, Frank and Mary Shettig. She met and married her husband, William Wren Bulger Sr., while living in Pennsylvania with her sisters and moved to Elyria, Ohio shortly after. Mille gave birth to her son, William Wren Bulger Jr. while in Pennsylvania in 1941, and she gave birth to her daughter, Judith Ann Bulger, in Elyria, Ohio in 1945. She and her husband raised their beautiful and caring family in Elyria, Ohio. Millie welcomed her two grandchildren from India, Ami Bulger and Eric Bulger, in 1985 and 1991. She mourned the loss of her husband of over 50 years, William Sr., in 1997. Millie had such a loving heart that she found love again in 2003 when she married Hugh Coburn. She celebrated 9 years of marriage with Hugh before his passing in 2012.

Millie was a devout lifelong member of St. Jude Catholic Church. When she was not at church or spending time with her family, Millie was a fashionista who liked to dance, shop, play cards with her friends, be a social butterfly who loved getting to know all different kinds of people, and participate in garage/rummage sales.

Millie was predeceased by her first husband (William Wren Bulger Sr.), her second husband (Hugh Coburn), her daughter (Judith Ann Bulger), her father and mother (Frank and Mary Shettig), and 8 siblings including her sisters (Ruth Wolfe and Mary Lou Wagner). She is survived by her son (William Wren Bulger Jr.), her granddaughter (Ami Bulger), her grandson (Eric Bulger), and her granddaughter-in-law (Jane Bulger).

Visitation will be held at Reichlin Roberts Bollinger Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland St. Elyria, Ohio 44035 on Monday, August 5, 2024 from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held at St. Jude Catholic Church, 590 Poplar St, Elyria, Ohio 44035 on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 10:30 am, with procession and burial to follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park (44805 N Ridge Rd, Amherst, Ohio 44001).
