William Burkey

William Andrew Burkey “Billy”, 54 of Elyria passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023. He was an avid “gamer” and loved playing electronic gaming online with his friends. He also enjoyed travelling, fishing, nature in general, dragons, playing his guitar, listening to rock music, and watching movies, especially the Three Stooges. Along with that theme, Billy was quite the jokester and loved making people laugh. He loved going out to eat with his family and just being with his family whenever possible. Billy was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Billy is survived by his loving daughters, Sierra Russell (Ryan), and Sabrina Burkey;  step-daughter, Savanah Kosicki (David); grandchildren, Luke Russell, Logan Kosicki, Alexandria Kosicki, and Landyn Burkey; sisters, Tana and Paula Burkey; brother-in-law, Jeff Groh; niece, Brittany Burkey; nephew, Dakota Deichler; and great nephew, Gage Everett. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wendy; parents, Clarence and Nancy Burkey; and an infant sister, Rhonda Sue Burkey.

The family will be having a private memorial.
